One-Time Setup

Let's get you set up.

Instant Approve requires a one-time configuration to allow it to intercept agent commands safely.

Install the Extension

Get it from the VS Code Marketplace. It supports VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and Antigravity.

One-Time Setup

When you first toggle Instant Approve on, it will ask to enable safety checking. Click "Enable Now", then close and reopen your editor. That's it.

The extension configures everything. You just approve and reopen your editor.
Advanced: manual setup (if auto-setup doesn't work)

Launch your editor from a terminal with this flag:

code --remote-debugging-port=9000

Replace code with cursor or windsurf if applicable.

Activate

Click "Instant Approve: OFF" in your status bar. If the light turns green, you're ready.
